I’ve got this frenzy manner to type “ls” at each command prompt! it’s sounds crazy but I can’t help it, It’s even weird when I am in front of a dos shell, still typing my ls command and of corse getting an error. Let’s face the truth, I just cannot type “dir” at the first shot, unless enormous concentration effort is involved. So I decided to look for a work arround.

doskey ls=dir

It’s a kind of dos alias command. Note that this change is valid only for the current session, so I have to create a bat file with all my doskeys linux like ^_^, and make sure it’s executed during the startup.
